Product Description
This 600m crawler hydraulic core drill rig is a high-performance, track-mounted drilling solution designed for deep geological exploration, mineral prospecting, and large-scale core sampling. Powered by a reliable hydraulic system, it delivers smooth rotation, precise feed control, and excellent torque output. The rugged crawler chassis provides superior mobility on uneven terrain, steep slopes, and muddy job sites, eliminating the need for separate transport equipment. With a maximum drilling depth of 600 meters (NQ rod), it efficiently handles hard rock formations and deep-hole coring projects. Key features include an automatic rod handling system, high-capacity mud pump, ergonomic control panel, and robust mast structure. Whether for mining exploration, dam foundation investigation, or geotechnical surveys, this rig offers a balance of power, efficiency, and all-terrain adaptability.
Product details
1.Heavy‑duty steel tracks with heat‑treated link plates and hardened pins. Track width 400–500 mm, ground pressure ≤0.08 MPa, allowing stable operation on soft soil, gravel, and steep slopes up to 25°. Self‑cleaning design prevents mud packing. Tensioning cylinders enable easy track adjustment without special tools.
2.High‑torque axial piston hydraulic motor directly coupled to the rotary head. Displacement up to 2000 cc/rev, providing maximum torque of 18,000 N·m. Infinitely variable speed from 0 to 1200 rpm. Built‑in overload protection and brake valve to prevent reverse rotation when power is off.
3.Choose between diesel engine (Weichai / Cummins / Yuchai) or electric motor (55‑90 kW). Diesel version features turbocharged, air‑to‑air intercooling, meeting Stage V emission option. Independent hydraulic oil radiator and large‑capacity fuel tank (200 L) support 12‑hour continuous operation. One‑button start with low‑oil‑pressure and high‑water‑temperature automatic shutdown.
4.Ergonomic pilot joystick control with two levers for all drilling actions (rotation, feed, hoist, track movement). Full hydraulic pilot‑operated system reduces operator fatigue. Digital panel displays depth, rotation speed, feed pressure, engine parameters, and fault codes. Optional wireless remote control for drill positioning from up to 50 m away.
Scope of Application
1. Mineral Exploration
Suitable for deep hole core drilling in metal mines (gold, copper, iron, lead‑zinc) and non‑metal mines (coal, limestone). Maximum depth 600m meets the requirements of medium‑deep prospecting and reserve verification.
2. Geological Survey & Regional Mapping
Used for stratigraphic core sampling, structure analysis, and deep soil investigation in regional geological mapping, hydrogeological surveys, and geotechnical studies.
3. Dam, Tunnel & Infrastructure Foundation Investigation
Provides high‑quality core samples for dam sites, tunnel alignments, bridge foundations, and highway subgrades. Crawler mobility allows easy access to river banks, hillsides, and remote construction sites.
4. Environmental & Geothermal Drilling
Supports environmental site assessment (soil and groundwater sampling) and shallow‑to‑medium depth geothermal well drilling. Electric motor option enables quiet, emission‑free operation in protected areas.
5. Mining Service & Exploration
Ideal for underground mining exploration (with proper dust control) and open‑pit mine grade control drilling. Auto rod handler reduces manual handling in hazardous zones.
Operation Procedure for 600m Crawler Hydraulic Core Drill Rig
Follow these step‑by‑step instructions to safely and efficiently operate this tracked hydraulic core drilling machine. The workflow is designed to maximize the 600m depth capability while leveraging the crawler hydraulic core drill rig’s all‑terrain mobility and automatic rod handling features.
Step 1: Site Preparation & Rig Positioning
Clear the drilling area of debris, and ensure a stable ground surface.
Use the crawler hydraulic core drill rig’s heavy‑duty steel tracks to move into position. Even on slopes up to 25° or muddy terrain, the tracked hydraulic core drilling machine provides excellent traction.
Lower the hydraulic stabilizers (if equipped) to level the rig.
Step 2: Mast Erection & Angle Adjustment
Power on the hydraulic core drill rig for geological exploration and engage the mast lift cylinder.
Raise the mast to vertical or desired angle (0–90°). For soil sampling or mineral exploration, confirm the mast angle using the digital display.
Step 3: Rod & Bit Assembly
Select the appropriate drill bit (e.g., NQ or HQ series) and attach it to the first drill rod.
If your rig is equipped with the auto rod handling system, load the rod magazine; otherwise, manually place the first rod into the spindle.
For deep holes up to 600m depth, always inspect threads and replace worn parts to maintain drilling efficiency.
Step 4: Start Hydraulic System & Rotation
Start the diesel engine or electric motor (depending on your power system).
Activate the high‑torque hydraulic motor and adjust rotation speed (0–1200 rpm) via the pilot joystick.
Slowly engage feed to bring the bit into contact with the ground surface.
Step 5: Drilling Operation & Parameter Monitoring
Increase feed pressure gradually while monitoring torque, rotation speed, and pump pressure on the digital control panel.
For hard rock formations, reduce rotation speed and increase torque to prevent bit sticking.
During core drilling, maintain steady water/mud circulation to cool the bit and flush cuttings.
Step 6: Adding Drill Rods (Auto or Manual)
When drilling reaches the length of one rod (typically 3m or 6m), stop rotation and lift the spindle slightly.
If using automatic rod handling, press the “rod load” button – the system will add a new rod from the magazine.
For manual operation, unscrew the rod from the spindle, screw on an additional rod, and resume drilling. Repeat until you reach the target 600m depth.
Step 7: Core Retrieval
After finishing the hole or at each core run, withdraw the entire rod string using the hoist function.
Remove the core barrel, extract the core sample, and store it in a core box.
The tracked hydraulic core drilling machine’s precise feed control ensures minimal core disturbance.
Step 8: Shutdown & Rig Moving
Pull the drill string completely out of the hole.
Lower the mast to transport position.
Retract stabilizers and drive the crawler hydraulic core drill rig to the next drilling location using the dual‑joystick track controls.
